Alberto joined JBA Jets in 2026 after an extensive career in Aviation. After graduating from Texas State Technical College, Waco in 1995 with a degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology he worked as a lineman at Brazos Air in McGregor, TX, where he also began his pilot training for his PPL. Alberto began his career as an A&P mechanic with Western Airways (’95), HAMS (’95–’98), SCI (’98–’99), and Garrett/StandardAero (’99–2012). Over those years, he progressed through roles including aircraft technician, flight engineer, mobile support team member, and project manager, specializing in Falcons, Learjets, and a wide range of pre‑purchase evaluations. His most rewarding role was serving on the mobile support team, where he traveled throughout North and South America performing on‑wing repairs on TFE731 engines. While at Garrett, he completed his B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry‑Riddle in 2007.
In February 2012, Alberto joined Houston Jet Direct (formerly Cockrell Resources) as Chief Inspector. He became Director of Maintenance in 2015 and stepped into the role of President/Chairman in 2020. Most recently, in May 2024, he earned his MBA from Texas A&M. Over the years, he has also served as a customer board advisor for StandardAero and currently serves on the Customer Advisory Board for Duncan Aviation.
Alberto has been married to his high school sweetheart, Maria for 27 years and they have 3 children.
